How to change the look and branding of your course.

In this video, we'll walk you through how to customize your course to change the look and better match your branding.

Step-by-Step Guide to Customizing the Look and Feel of Your Course

This guide will walk you through customizing the look and feel of your course to match your branding.

1. Choose a Branding Option:

  • Log in to your course creation platform.

  • Click on "Customize" or navigate to the customization settings.

  • You'll see a few preset branding options. Choose the one that best suits your needs.

2. Customize the Layout:

  • Once you've chosen a branding option, click on "Customize" again.

  • In the "Customize" section, you'll find two main areas: Layout and Sections.

  • Under "Layout," you can change the general theme settings like:

    • Font Color (Primary and Secondary)

    • Background Color

Tip: If you're unsure which option affects what element, choose a temporary, contrasting color (like bright pink) to see the changes. Then, adjust it to your desired color and hit "Save Changes."

3. Customize the Sections:

  • Under "Sections," you can customize the look and feel of various sections within your course:

    • Header

    • Hero (Banner image)

    • Lesson Progress

    • Course Body

    • Instructor

For each section, you can typically customize:

  • Images (Backgrounds)

  • Spacing

  • Text Colors

  • Button Colors

Tip: Use the same color scheme you use on your website for a consistent brand experience.

4. Preview Your Changes:

Many platforms allow you to preview the changes you make before saving them. This helps you visualize the final look and feel before publishing your course.

5. Save Your Theme (Optional):

  • Once you're happy with the customizations, you can save your theme for future courses. This saves you time by not having to re-enter colors and settings each time.

6. Apply the Same Customization to Lessons (if applicable):

  • Some platforms allow you to customize the look and feel of individual lessons as well. The process is usually similar to customizing the main course page.
